Ladies Who Lunch Lavishly







When my friend Liz McDermott (fabulous blonde in the center of two other fabulous blonde friends!) announced it was time for an old fashioned Ladies Luncheon we all jumped at the chance to join her at the Swan Coach House in Atlanta.


She said, "It has been way too long since I have seen many of you ,and think it is about time to change all of that.
I am reminissing of the days not too long ago when a ladylike leisurely lunch was the tour de force. However,since the big change ,we now all seem to be hunkering down!!
I propose we go back to the days gone past and reinstitute the ladies lunch. I cannot wait to see all of you---ps ...big hats and big jewelry a must--it might be a while until we can wear them again!!!!"
So we met at Noon and dined on The Swan Coach House's classic
chicken salad and frozen congealed fruit salads served with cheese straws and iced tea.
There was Chardonnay too, of course. Pearls, hats, gloves, diamonds and mink...
what a lunch!

    I do not know if it's just me or if everyone else encountering issues with your blog. It seems like some of the written text on your posts are running off the screen.
